SB 95 was passed on March 18 and signed by Governor Newsom on March 19. The Bill mandates statewide supplemental paid COVID-19 sick leave, retroactively to January 1, 2021, and continuing through September 30, 2021.
SB 95 requires an additional 80 hours of paid leave to employees for qualifying reasons to employers with 25 or more employees. This new leave is in addition to any leave you may have already paid out in 2020, on an individual employee basis.
If you have over 25 employees, read the blog!
